Current mechanisms of the balance of power are similar to some of the ways ancient rulers used to balance power. The balance of power system used here was an alliance that included collaboration among countries that led to the formation of NATO fighting against the Sov iet Union. In the end, NATO managed to bring down the Soviet Union and still exists to date. From the comparison above it is evident that the future of the US as a country is on the verge of losing power if proper ways of power balancing are not engaged. That is because many of the European countries have increasingly engaged in a power struggle in the last 5 years. In conclusion, certain key policies and institutions are important for the future peace of the world and balance of power. One such institution is the UN. On the other hand, economies like the European Union can also tilt the equilibrium of the power balancing from the US to the European countries especially in Russia something that may attract war also.
